It’s the way we cook our chicken.

I think it's the way we cook our chicken. It's moist, tender and juicy. It makes us different than many of the teriyaki places.— Yoko Wang, Toshio’s Teriyaki

Our story

A family counter on Rainier

Family-owned by us — Yoko and James Wang — since 2002.

We have been in the restaurant business for more than 30 years — Grand Restaurant in Vancouver, B.C., Shanghai Restaurant in Bellevue for 15 years, Szechuan Express in Reno for 3 years, and Kiku Tempura House in Seattle for 3 years, before Toshio's.

We completed the remodeling of Toshio's Teriyaki in June, 2010.

Our Motto

To give glory to God through this restaurant.

To work as an ambassador of God.

I love me some Toshio's! They have the best teriyaki sauce and salad dressing! I also love how they leave the skin on the chicken. That's where all the flavor is! Portions are huge and cheap!

Toshio's is like coming home--in spirit, health, and sustenance! I feel fed in mind, heart, body, spirit when we eat Toshio's. Great family, locally owned, doing great things for our community and each and every customer! Thank you -- here's to many more years!!!

I love you guys. Not only the best teriyaki, but also incredibly kind and attentive. You always go above and beyond which I appreciate. For example, when I accidentally forgot my wallet, you helped me get in touch with my husband to pay by phone. Thank you for the great food & service.
Renee Hunter
This is a pretty good spot for a quick teriyaki fix. It's really hard to find a good fast-food type of teriyaki joint, but Toshio's does an excellent job of serving up good quality food at a reasonable price.
Nerick M.
This is my favorite teriyaki I've been going here for YEARS.
Princess S.
I like the people who work and own the famous Toshio's. The food is delicious. The place is clean and that is a plus. Toshio's is a great place to come and eat at.
Cecelia Thompson
I've traveled all over the U.S. and no ones teriyaki compares. Keep up the great service and great food.

The plates were such huge servings. We had enough for leftovers for next day.

The chicken and gyoza combo is my go-to and always hits the spot. Their creamy salad dressing is amazing!
Em V· Google review, January 2026
Simple, satisfying, and exactly what you want from a classic teriyaki joint. A great neighborhood staple that I'm always happy to come back to.

That first hungry bite is always like a reunion with an old friend who returns from a long trip abroad a little different than they left.
